As Cornell reactivates its operations, each of us has a part to play in halting the spread of the novel coronavirus. The state of New York requires employees, researchers, students and visitors to provide a daily health assessment. This temporary measure is crucial for ensuring a safe return to work and maintaining the safety and health of Cornell and the communities in which we live.
If you are coming to campus or any Cornell-operated facility, you must complete a brief health assessment via Daily Check prior to arriving on campus for the day. It is also important that we know you will be in an on-campus location so that we can make this daily assessment available to you. If you have not been informed by your supervisor, Human Resources representative, dean or vice president that you have been approved to be on campus and/or have not received an email with a link enabling access to the Daily Check page, you must obtain approval before returning to campus.
If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 listed in Daily Check, even if they are mild, you must remain at home. Notify your supervisor according to your department’s procedures and contact Cayuga Health System by phone at 607-319-5800. For students, please contact Cornell Health at 607-255-5155.
As the process of returning individuals to campus continues and NY state guidance evolves, more information on requirements to keep our campus safe will be provided. If you have questions about Daily Check or any of Cornell’s COVID-19 safety measures, please consult Cornell’s COVID-19 and Reactivation Planning website.
